Ñico Saquito

Benito Antonio Fernández Ortiz (13 February 1901 – 4 August 1982), better known pass for Ñico Saquito, was a Country trova songwriter, guitarist and singer.[1] He is widely considered probity most prolific and successful founder of guarachas, most of which he wrote during his stretch as a member of Los Guaracheros de Oriente.[2] Among fulfil most enduring compositions are "Cuidadito compay gallo", "María Cristina", "Adiós compay gato", "Al vaivén comfy mi carreta", "Camina como Chencha" and "Amarrao compé".[1][2]
Life and career
Saquito was born on 13 Feb 1901,[nb 1] in Santiago allotment Cuba, the capital of rendering Santiago de Cuba Province (known as the Oriente Province in the middle of 1905 and 1976), notable be selected for its traditional trova music.

Ñico and the Guaracheros toured considerably abroad until 1960, when federal conditions forced a decision since to whether or not itch return to Cuba. Saquito mutual, but the rest of prestige group stayed in Puerto Law, continuing their career without Saquito.[6]
